Bay Area Makeup Prosthetics (BAMP) in San Jose, California, is a special effects makeup school offering a 6 week workshop designed for students who want to develop solid skills in creating prosthetics, make-up and Creature FX for TV and Film. You will learn techniques that are used by an award-winning special FX artist in Hollywood.
Our makeup prosthetic course is structured to deliver a comprehensive and rich training in the basic disciplines of the subject and is designed to be flexible as it progresses, allowing each participant the freedom to select further content that they would like to incorporate into their studies through their personal projects.
Your course will culminate in a final project of your choice. Whether this is a major silicone gel prosthetic or realistic silicone (severed head for example), you’ll plan and develop this project through the first three weeks of your course, and work full time on it for the remaining two weeks, supported throughout by our tutors.

The Jewelry Arts Institute in New York has been committed to researching, preserving and teaching the jewelry making techniques of the Classical Period for over 30 years, passing on these nearly lost traditions to students from all corners of the world. Located at 22 East 49th Street in mid-town Manhattan, we teach all classical techniques in every class. These techniques are granulation in silver and 22k gold, Byzantine enameling, classical chain making, classical settings, lapidary and other related techniques.
Since all projects are taught by one-on-one demonstration, students of all levels can be enrolled in all classes. This is true for both the semester classes and the intensive workshops. We have a teacher for every five or six students so the student receives a lot of attention. If a student were to complete all of the many projects we have developed, he/she would end up with a complete background of classical jewelry techniques.

Jewelry Design classes held throughout the year. Each quarter consists of 8-12 classes, which meet once a week for three hours. Our intensive workshops are very popular, people come from all over the world. The Intensives are one week workshops in July and August.
