University of Northern California (UNC), Lorenzo Patiño School of Law is located in the heart of downtown Sacramento in Sacramento County, CA. Conveniently based near City Hall, the Sacramento County Law Library and the Sacramento County Courthouse, UNC, Lorenzo Patiño School of Law is only minutes away from the State Capitol, the U.S. District Court and the 3rd District Court of Appeals.

UNC, Lorenzo Patiño School of Law, was founded in 1983 to provide a high quality legal education at an affordable cost. The law school is licensed by the California State Bar to grant Juris Doctor Degrees and Paralegal Certificates.

The goal of the law school is to qualify its students for entry into the legal profession. UNC encourages vigorous student-faculty discussion of the law. The ratio of faculty members to students is approximately one professor for every 15 students. Class sizes range from seven to ten students.

UNC’s 4-year curriculum consists of traditional law school courses and is enhanced by selective electives. Judges and practicing attorneys teach the classes, providing practical experience, as well as theoretical instruction.
- 4 year law evening program working towards a Juris Doctor degree: Graduates of the program are eligible to take the California State Bar Exam.

- 1 year vocational training Paralegal certificate program: Our program consists of 12 subjects totaling 300 hours of instruction and a 60-hour internship. (BPPVE authorized to grant certificates after the completion of the program).
